Commercial Water Damage – Canoga Park

Commercial water damage to this Canoga Park office building occurred when an overhead water pipe burst during the night. Upon arriving at the office the next morning, the management immediately called SERVPRO of Canoga Park / West Hills to clean up the water on the flooring and repair the damage to the ceilings and walls. The first step when our technicians arrive on scene is to assess the situation. One of the assessment tools is a sophisticated moisture meter which measures the moisture content of most building materials. The subfloor would be analyzed to determine if it had been saturated and it was discovered that it was. Our technicians would need to remove the carpeting to dry the subflooring thoroughly. Commercial air movers and dehumidifiers would be set up to aid in the drying process. Ceiling tiles would be dried during this phase, but a number of them had been too damaged to dry, and they would be replaced.
